MyWalkLive ("we", "us", "the service") is a tool for planning, tracking and coordinating long-distance activities. Anyone can follow a public activity page, and account holders can run their own activities and coordinate the crew supporting them. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Public activity pages can be viewed without signing in, and messages of support can be posted without an account. You only need an account to organise an activity or to take part as an athlete or crew member. This policy covers everyone who uses the service, with or without an account.
Every activity has a visibility setting and new activities start as private. A private activity is visible only to its owner and the crew they invite. An unlisted activity is visible to anyone with the link but is not indexed by search engines. A public activity, including its route, check-ins, positions and photographs, can be seen by anyone and may appear in search results. Changing an activity to public makes its history public too, not just what happens afterwards.
Accounts and service data are stored using Supabase, our hosting and database provider, and authentication is provided by Supabase and Google. These providers process your data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal information with third parties except the service providers needed to run the service, such as Supabase and Google, or where required by law. Information you choose to make public may be visible to anyone who visits the service.
You can update your profile and preferences at any time from your account page, and you can change an activity's visibility or delete it at any time. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its associated personal information, by contacting us at the address below. You can also revoke the service's access to your Google account from your Google account settings.
This service is not directed at children. If an activity involves a participant under 16, the account and the decision to publish should rest with a parent or guardian.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
